DUCKMAN VR LAN 2023  - APRIL 7th and 8th 2023  

Meet fellow gamers and VR enthusiasts, watch top tier gameplay and make friendships which will last a time.   

Now entering our second year, VR-LAN events are an opportunity to bring together players of virtual reality, or VR, games. This community driven and funded lan event will showcase and bring together players of the popular multiplayer space frisbee game Echo Arena. Attendees are arriving from across Europe and even further afield to take part in this event, some will meet their teammates in person for the first time.   

The LAN consist of two parts. The first is the social element. People meeting and hanging out, having drinks, spectating the games and enjoying the atmosphere. The second is the competitive element, people taking part in the live games, competing on stage with live casters, fighting it out to try to take home the trophy, sponsor rewards and cash prize!   

Echo Arena, the featured game, is the largest VR competitive sport out there today. The game consists of teams of 4 playing a game of frisbee in space… Sounds unusual, and that’s because it is a unique concept only possible in VR. The teams compete over a 10 minute period to pass the disc between each other and score goals. It is a great spectator sport and akin to watching a game of hockey or football on the big screen. The players in this league arrange training sessions, matches and develop strategies we will see play out in these finals.
