About The Event

THE  PARADOX TWIN

The Paradox Twin was formed by singer, songwriter, guitarist, keyboard player, Danny Sorrell who, following the writing of the band’s debut album ‘The Importance of Mr. Bedlam’, walked into Outhouse Studio, the well known recording studio run by producer and musician extraordinaire John Mitchell, for the recording.

John was so impressed with what he heard that he suggested to Chris Hillman, John’s partner in the White Star Records label, that they should release the album. Chris was as impressed as John was and so the band were signed to the label, with John providing a guitar solo on the track, ‘Moonblood’ and vocalist Kim Seviour also providing a guest vocal on the same track.

The album was very well received with the video of the first single from the album, ‘Planeta’, gaining a nomination at the prestigious Progressive Music Awards even before the album had been released.

The band went on to receive another nomination the following year in the best new artist’s category. The album has gained the band a worldwide reputation and following with glowing reviews and radio plays.

GRACE AND FIRE

Grace and Fire were formed by vocalist André Saint and guitarist Aaron Gidney in 2019, shortly joined by Graham Brown (drums) and Tim Ashton (bass). Keyboardist Joshua Gidney joined following the recording of the band’s debut album, “Elysium” and for the band’s first live shows. ‘Elysium’ was released in November 2021 and was produced, mixed and mastered by Karl Groom of British Progressive Metal legends, Threshold.  Containing ten tracks and featuring guest appearances from Derek Sherinian (ex-Dream Theater/Sons of Apollo), Göran Edman and Mark Boals (both ex-Yngwie Malmsteen), the album showcases melodic and progressive rock anthems with huge choruses, soaring guitars, lush keyboard textures in a concise song-based format. The band signed with OOB Records (Netherlands) in 2021 and have sold copies of the album to most countries across Europe, USA, Japan and Australia. The album has been received positively and has been reviewed in Fireworks Rock & Metal Magazine, Powerplay Magazine, I/O pages and Germany’s Rock Hard Magazine and in December 2022, Grace and Fire were featured in Prog Magazine’s Limelight. The band have performed live throughout 2022, including Southampton’s 1865 and The Summer’s End Festival amongst others. Planning is underway for more shows in 2023 where they have already secured a slot on HRH Prog’s ‘New Wave of Classic Prog’ stage.
